A lot of people have asked me if the public transportation is okay to use and I did not use the public transportation at all and the reason is because I have heard and I have witnessed that the public transportation is not reliable https://uscasinosguide.com/casino-bonuses/.
The public transportation like the buses do not really follow a strict schedule so even though you think that you are going to go get a bus at a specific time and day that bus might not be there or her might appear two hours later and the thing about the buses is that you actually have to reserve your spot for buying a ticket the day before and it's just it's very complicated. Definitely research that, plan that. That would not be my recommendation for getting around in Cuba. I would say that the best way to get around in Cuba is to look for a private driver. This is something that you can actually look for using Trip Advisor and what you should do is find a private driver and coordinate with that driver how much it's going to cost you how many hours a day you're going to need him how many days you're going to need the driver and just be sure that you have that all planned out before your trip. Getting a driver is probably the most affordable and the most reliable way to get around Cuba and these drivers even for a little bit more money are able to take you to different towns if you plan it accordingly and it's just probably the best way to go around Cuba. On that note I would not recommend for you to rent a car because the roads most of the roads on Cuba are not paved and have a lot of holes and there's not a lot of up keep going on there even if you are a very experienced driver I would say that it might be dangerous it might be difficult for you to get around. If you aren't familiar with the area you might not know that any specific path is actually a road because like I said there are a lot of unpaved roads. It's best to just get a private driver and have someone who knows exactly how to get around. Is it safe in Cuba? The answer is 100% yes. You can really go around town and not have any issues really. The only thing that I have heard of and I have not have had an experience with this but a few of my friends have mentioned that they have experienced pick pocketing while in Cuba. That isn't something that I witnessed but I have heard it a few times and even from one of my friends who got pickpocketed. He said that the pickpocketer was very awkward and like apologized afterwards because he caught him like grabbing his phone, I think it was. Of course with any place I would recommend to not go down any road that you are unfamiliar with or any dark alleys or anything that looks suspicious. Always be on alert wherever you are traveling especially as a foreigner and if you don't know the language you might make yourself a target. For the most part Cuba is very safe and people are extremely friendly and kind and I find that they're super hospitable and will go out of their way to make you feel welcomed on the island. Sometimes when you are a tourist in a new city and foreigner you can be a victim of scams and getting knocked off and I can say for a fact that this is something that is not common at all in Cuba I have not witnessed it I have not experienced it none of my friends or people that I know have experienced it it's just not something that people will do. Honestly I think that's something that you really don't need to worry about. Like with any other country if you are going to get a tour or something it's always good to try to negotiate and for the most part you might get you know a better deal and don't be afraid to negotiate. The Cuban people are very nice and I'm sure that you will come to an agreement for a price and will not be a ripoff. Those are all of the tips that I have for you today. Hello. Today we are going to talk about Cuba because of all of my videos about my travels to Cuba I have gotten so many questions.
The best thing that I could do is just make a video addressing some of the more common questions that I get and hopefully I can provide you with some answers. So here are some tips for traveling to Cuba. Money, this is one of the biggest questions The biggest? That's weird. This is one of the most common questions that I get, which is how much money should I bring? My answer to this question is anywhere between eight hundred US dollars to fifteen hundred dollars per week. The thing about Cuba is that over there they don't have Apple pay they don't have credit cards they don't have any of these digital commodities to pay with so you have to bring cash and that is very important because I've actually found a couple people who have gone to Cuba and had no knowledge of this and had only brought a very small amount. So, you have to budget the money that you are going to take to Cuba and take it with you. Don't rely on your credit cards because you're not going to have access to it. The 800 to 1500 dollar range that I just gave is pretty much on the low end if you're staying in Casaparticulares or in Airbnbs and not if you are staying at hotels that would probably be more in the $1,500 range or more. But you can find pretty cheap accommodations for as low as maybe $30 a night. Staying in a hotel is obviously going to be a whole lot more expensive and of course this is also taking into consideration the food that you eat some places you can get very cheap food and in others, like if you go to the more fancy, Paladares then that is more gourmet food and you are going to be spending a little bit of money, more money. But over all the money that you're going to want to bring is anywhere between 800 to $1,500 per week if you would like a little bit more information about budgeting then you should definitely check out my friend's video, potato jet he made a video all about budgeting and documented his expenses while he was staying in Havana so you should definitely check that out, I'll put a link in the description if that's something that you are interested in. Speaking of accommodations I get asked this question a lot which is Are Casaparticulares reliable? Are they safe? Is it okay to stay there and although I did not stay at Casaparticular when I went to Cuba I stayed at an Airbnb. I do have a lot of friends and people that I know who have stayed at these Casaparticulares and they are extremely safe and they are extremely reliable. You do have to remember that these are people who live in Cuba and are giving up a part of their home for you to stay in and when you do that you have to realize that they are going out of their way to provide you with the best accommodation that they can with the limited resources available. So if the breakfast is not the breakfast that you are usually accustomed to when staying at a hotel or even a motel please keep that in mind and try not to complain because most of the time these people do not have a lot of resources and they just want you to be the most comfortable and have the best possible time while you are staying at their home. How to get around Cuba? Ah Julian Ah, there you are, excellent Come stei? I'm ok, bene! My friend, Massimo, is always going on about how amazing it is in Sicily so we've finally decided to come out here and check it out for ouselves I'll just finish this delightful breakfast What I love about Cefalu is all these wonderful cobbled streets and windy passages with all the authentic Sicilian laundry hanging on people's balconies it's brilliant, it makes you feel like you're in some sort of Turkish bazaar or something and it's hardly surprising because over the years.
Sicily has been invaded by so many different people that they've all left their mark The Greeks have been here, the Romans, the Turks the Bourbons (whoever they are) they even let the Italians take over eventually! Spectacular views of the craggy overhanging mountain and medieval fortress on top and a cathedral which I think they're very proud of but don't take my word for it; let's ask Angelo who actually lives here. This is the main street and the architecture is just a main street and then the two streets close to the cathedral are specifically designed from the bottom of the street you can see the tower of the cathedral It's like a sign, that God is everywhere This is the Duomo, yes. It's very famous because of the very mixed architecture The same tower for example is completely different from the bottom half to the top the bottom is Norman It reminds me of the Tower of London which was built by William the Conqueror Here it was Roger the Second King Roger? It doesn't sound like a very glamorous name! King Roger. "Alright Rog! " Then you will see inside the cathedral a very famous mosaic called Jesus pantocrator It's one of the most famous in all of Italy There is another one in Monreale cathedral close to Palermo Booooo! Yes, exactly.. Booooo! but our mosaic is much better than the other one looking at his face he is really represented as a human being and he's very nice compared to the one in Monreale The one in Monreale doesn't have humanity it's more cold That's right, so there's this legend that King Roger was sailing around Sicily in rough seas and prayed to God that if he helped him find a safe place to land he'd build a church Exactly Ok, he didn't finish it So time by time Spanish, Arabians Byzantines, Greeks... Bloody Norman builders! He was probably working on another job I've got to do another cathedral around the corner Hello and welcome to Go Away, the show that tells you which places to avoid tonight on the show I asked why on earth would you go to Tamworth? Yeah so happy to be here I traveled on a small plane, against my better judgment, so that you don't have to. This place is a shithole whatever you do, don't come here. Tonight on Go Away I'll tell you why In Tamworth, the annual highlight is the Country Music Festival a music festival based around one of the lowest selling music genres in Australia The festival only covers ten days, so what do you do for the rest of the year? I thought I'd go and talk to the mayor for this poor excuse for a town You're the mayor of Tamworth would you prefer to be the mayor of a town that people actually like? I'm actually surprised that you have chosen to not support the country because I understand you actually coming from Gunnedah Yeah I was born in Gunnedah but I like Gunnedah more than Tamworth spin palace casino online.
I think Tamworth is the Shelbyville of this area unfortunately that's not supported by the massive amounts of visitors that come to the city How many people visit Tamworth? Today we would probably have in excess of 50,000 visitors in the city I love performing in Tamworth I know you have to say that I just want to warn people about Tamworth warn people? yeah so they don't waste their holidays in the wrong spot Aren't you from Gunnedah? You only have to pass through Tamworth if you are driving from Sydney to Brisbane, so if you are driving, the best way to avoid Tamworth is by going through Gunnedah which is better and faster or take the coast road where there are more beaches and less Tamworth Alternatively, you can fly over the bastard but if you absolutely have to stay, Tamworth has an array of tolerable motels, many of which have poorer versions of the comforts of home the motel pool is a great place to let those hours drift away until your flight leaves Tamworth With the Sun beaming down, you can close your eyes and pretend you're in Byron Bay or anywhere else that has water that isn't Tamworth So there you have it, the only thing that Tamworth has got going for it is the country music festival. If you're into that kind of thing go to Nashville as for the rest of the year, there's fuck-all to do, so if your friends say to you "Can we go to Tamworth?" Tell them to Go Away! What type of school culture is most important to you? Where you do your learning is almost as important as what you're learning. If you're uncomfortable or unhappy in school, the education you receive will be less beneficial to you in the long run. Knowing what type of school culture is most important to you is very important when choosing the school you will attend.
Do you prefer a co-ed environment, or would you feel more at home in a school that teaches to only one gender? Do you long for a large, bustling campus that boasts a huge student population, or a smaller, more friendlier campus where the student body is smaller? What type of school culture is most important to you? The other students who will be attending classes with you will become future study buddies and friends, so know something about the student body (including size of that student body) attending the schools you have an interest in. According to the Center for Education Information, the NCES, there were 72.1 million students enrolled in American schools and colleges in fall of 2005. You'll have a lot of choices concerning your new school, and a lot of students who attend those schools would be more than happy to answer questions about campus life and schoolwork checking. You're the only one who can decide what type of school culture is most important to you, whether you want to attend a small or large school, where you think you'll get the best education. Another important factor to consider is faculty to student ratio. If you want lots of personal attention and a school staff that is easily accessible, the faculty to student ratio matters a great deal to you. Fewer faculty members for more students means your professors will not have a lot of time for one-on-one consultations with you. Only by knowing what type of school culture is most important to you will you be able to find the ideal school for your needs. Before you can obtain your degree and go on to pursue your future career and financial goals, you have to first attend school. Because you'll be spending a lot of time in school and since it will make up a huge part of your life until graduation, seriously consider what type of school culture is most important to you. No matter what you want to study or what career path you want to pursue, you will find the perfect school for your needs. Think about what those needs are first, and you'll make a much better choice when it comes to picking a school. P.S. When starting out in the academic journalism field, many students aren't entirely sure where their degree can take them. Throughout their college careers, they encounter several different methods of reporting and essay editing, each of which serve a different purpose in the working world. Lessons from the Road: A Pilgrim´s Diary
We enter the region of Galicia. The landscape is changing. We pass through a lush green valley which is abuzz with all kinds of birds chirping and the music from cowbells. We surprise ourselves – we are walking about 30 kilometers in a day! We are gradually growing into veteran pilgrims. We can now guide and offer advice to other pilgrims joining us from other starting points on the trek subsequent to ours. We can treat blisters like a trained nurse. We meet great people all along. Just like in our day-to-day life, here on Camino as well, each pilgrim seems to be passing through stages. First, you are a skeptic then as you realize it’s okay to talk to total strangers sometimes, you gradually end up telling your story. There are pilgrims who would not even mind interrupting their own journey so that they could walk along with you to share their stories and there are ones you would have to work on for a few miles until they start opening up and are ready to tell their story. Why would one do that? Well, that’s what you learn to do on the Camino. It´s all about being a good storyteller one day and a good listener another. You can easily tell when you meet someone who has a story to tell. All they need is a little bit of confidence and faith in you that they would not be judged or misunderstood based on their stories. They should have the confidence that you would understand that it is not always in our control the way things turn out. That if they couldn’t keep up a promise, it was not their fault entirely. That it is just that sometimes life takes a path on its own and all you could do is keep walking. And it is easy to lose our way because no one bothered to put a yellow sign pointing us in right direction! That night at the pilgrim´s refuge, I wrote in my diary: “I feel I am becoming a better listener as I progress on the Camino. After over 100 kms of walking so far, I realize I have stopped hearing and started listening. Just as much as hearing has got to do with ears, listening has got to do with the heart. I learnt to listen with my heart.” “I learnt that if we listen with compassion, we can not only feel but also share the pain of the person telling the story. It relieves them of their pain and the next day, when they see you on Camino they greet you with a grateful smile. You can just tell by seeing them, they are walking lighter and happier.” “Apart from listening to other´s stories, on Camino, you also learn to listen to yourself as you get plenty of time to spend alone as well. A constant soul-searching and an internal dialogue go on intermittently. You re-live your childhood, review your personal story so far and draw new conclusions. As if it were the best time to rearrange some stuff, weed out the unnecessary and plant new seeds!” In the following paragraphs, we will look at three key elements necessary to improve your reading skills. Each of the activities is designed to reinforce one or more reading techniques or skill sets, and, in turn, boost your reading speed and comprehension.
Reading Comprehension Tests Tests are the first key element in learning to read effectively, also known as speed reading. You use these tests to set your baseline (initial) results for both speed and comprehension. You also use them to judge how much progress you’ve made after learning new reading techniques. You should take these tests at the beginning of your training and then periodically throughout the learning process. This will let you know which techniques help you become a better reader. Drills Drills are the second element in learning how to read effectively. They can be made up of text or images, and they help pace your reading based on your Comprehension Test results. They also serve a number of additional purposes. First, they allow you to increase the number of words you can see and understand at a single glance. This is known as eye span. Second, by having you follow the text with your eyes at specific speeds, they can allow you to master efficient eye movements. This includes both the horizontal and the vertical. Third, they help you improve your configuration, the ability to read fluently based on the shape of the letters and words. And last, they can help you break two bad habits: 1) subvocalization, when you say the words in your head as you read, and 2) regression, moving your eyes backwards to re-read text. ALL of these techniques increase BOTH your speed and your comprehension! Games Games are the third element, instructional activities designed to reinforce new reading techniques in a fun way. For example, you may have to decide if two or more words flashed on the screen are the same or different. You may have to tell if the words’ meanings are similar or different. And you may have to determine the answer to a briefly glimpsed question. So now you know the three reading comprehension activities, or reading strategies, that help you learn to read better – tests, drills, and games. |
